Under the general direction of the Clinical Director, the Contract Manager is responsible for the preparation of proposals and the negotiation and administration of contracts. S/he works closely with hospital management, clinicians and medical staff to identify organization’s needs relative to new technology, capital equipment and supplies. The Contract Manager maintains the online database of contracts that support company initiatives. S/he review contracts for compliance with company policies and negotiate contracts in agreement with Trivergent partners. The Contract Manager develops and implements plans for cost effective methods of purchasing, including the submission and review of RFPs. This role develops and analyzes various reports and interprets financial and statistical information related to Supply Chain agreements and purchases. S/he manages vendor relations, supplier’s performance, GPO contracting activities, and cost index on a routine basis. Provides support to the Strategic Sourcing Manager/Clinical Director in regards to Capital Equipment purchases, Service/Maintenance agreements, or Supply Chain activities.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, healthcare or clinical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Minimum of 2-3 years of job-related experience, with additional technical/supervisory experience preferred.
Must be able to multi-task and prioritize effectively, and have excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills. Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy, an effective communicator, possess good interpersonal and presentation skills and be able to work in a fast-paced team environment. Proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is also required.
