Human Resources Consultant-Part-time or Fulltime

Vantaggio HR is a well-established human resource consulting company providing business-savvy solutions to employers of all sizes, across all industries. We specialize in employment law compliance, resolving complex employee issues, and implementing sound HR policies and procedures. Companies engage us either on a project basis or as their full-time HR department. Our clients experience a lower risk for lawsuits, more productive relationships with their employees, and significantly less stress over managing their staff.

This position will be based in Northern California. We have an established presence in the Sacramento Valley, but are also looking to increase our footprint in the San Francisco/Bay Area. We will consider candidates with the right experience in either location. Selected candidate will work from home, when not at client sites, and manage multiple client accounts in various industries with complex and sophisticated human resource related business needs. As the client’s HR business partner, this position is responsible for the relationship with the client, the service strategy, and the overall client experience. Individual should be comfortable with business development and client upselling as well. Bilingual Spanish is a plus! We will consider candidates interested in either part-time or fulltime opportunity.

Essential Functions::
The Consultant will be assigned projects and accounts and will be responsible for building and managing the relationship with the clients, collaborating with colleagues and Senior Consultants to identify key issues and strategies and consult with Client’s management team on one or more of the following functions:
  • Development of Policies/Procedures
  • Recruiting/Succession Planning
  • Employee New Hire
  • Employee Relations
  • Investigations
  • Terminations
  • Benefits Administration
  • Payroll Administration
  • Payroll & HRIS Implementation
  • Staff Development/Training
  • Review and Development of Compensation Program

Job Requirements::
  • 8 or more years of Human Resource Generalist/Management experience
  • Experience with Payroll and HRIS system administration and implementation preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent
  • PHR or SPHR preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable with “can-do” attitude
  • Travel is required throughout Northern California for on-site client visits
  • Ability and willingness to do some business development including involvement in approved networking group(s).

Compensation and Benefits::
  • Starting at $30 to $35 per hour
