Pay Status: Hourly

Minimum Pay Rate: $17.56

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality System Analyst audits key quality systems and activities in the Production process which affect product quality. Assists in problem resolution by providing data analysis and monitoring key quality indicators. Identifies non-compliance situations and takes action to effect correction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Complies with all Safety policies and procedures
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures including GMP and Food Safety
  • Conducts audits of production and quality activities to ensure procedures are followed and standards upheld.
  • Reviews database information to identify quality problems. Interprets data to identify trends and quality issues.
  • Prepares reports including spreadsheets and graphics, summarizing quality data, and quality problems.
  • Communicates information regarding quality issues to Shift supervisors, line operators, Process technicians, other quality personnel, and direct supervisors.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly work environment.
  • Is proficient in all quality-related tests.
  • Delivers training to line operators and other auditors.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS:

Job involves a moderate degree of complexity, and varied work situations. Must be flexible as duties may change. A normal schedule of audits and checks will be the rule but special testing and analysis maybe required to resolve problems or deal with new situations. Must be able to operate independently with occasional supervision. Work is randomly checked by direct supervisor and other quality personnel.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or GED is required. Quality Technician Certification by the American Society for Quality is highly desirable.

Experience: 1 to 2 months related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Competencies:

Language Skills: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Familiar with all quality tests, procedures and documentation.

Ability to conduct interpersonal interactions, follow directions and instructions, perform duties independently, perform math computations and basic statistical analysis, operate computer hardware/software and maintain records and attention to detail.

Good organizational, analytical, and planning skills. Self-motivated, confident and an independent worker.

Reasoning Skills: Perform duties in an accurate, precise, neat and orderly fashion.

Organize thoughts and work effectively in a changing environment.

Physical ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs. and move freely throughout facility.
