Well, Jack in the Box is hiring the newest addition to their growing social media team! The Social Media Manager will be responsible for driving the brand voice and social media strategy across all social communication channels and managing overall annual owned/earned and paid social media strategy through cultural and product-focused campaigns.


Responsibilities:

  • Manages the companys best-in-class social media strategy, including building editorial calendars, identifying channels on which to implement, working with our agency to secure the necessary content assets, and assisting in creating pitch & recap decks for executive summaries.
  • Plans and carries out social media activities at a regional and individual market level, including the development of local social marketing strategy, budget advisement, garnering creative approvals, and implementation.
  • Oversees interaction of social platforms and digital customers. Ensures responses from all brand channels to the millions of fans and followers are clear, concise, and written in the voice that encapsulates the personality, passion, and energy of our brand. Leads the process of social media customer service, including evaluation of trends, and meeting regularly and providing feedback to Guest Services department to ensure customer concerns are addressed in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Partners with analytics team to help develop recaps and reports, including monthly social trends as it relates to specific needs within the organization. Evaluates report findings and makes recommendations on necessary adjustments.
  • Aligns creative content to long-term strategic goals by evaluating communications briefs, creative concepts, and production for strategic alignment.
  • Monitors industry and emerging trends in social media activities, and social media initiatives for thought leading brands for benchmarking and internal learning.
  • Oversees social media and Influencer production budgets; ensures projects adhere to approved budgets.
  • Serves as a liaison between social media team and media agency. Manages the creative direction on all paid channels and selection of brand influencer partners and ensures the integrated social media activities elevate the brands image across owned, earned, and paid channels. Aligns creative content to company and marketing long-term strategic goals and evaluates creative concepts and production for strategic alignment.
  • Establishes and monitors benchmarks for measuring the impact of each integrated program and report on the effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results. Creates summary reports, briefs, competitive overviews, and metric reports to continuously evaluate performance. May present findings and recommendations to management and executive teams.
  • Manages department and project timelines and tasks within project(s) scope and successfully leads cross-functional teams to execute social media projects. Collaborates with all departments within the marketing function and supports several teams within the organization to ensure that project deliverables meet financial, department, and brand goals. Evaluates and identifies opportunities to improve processes and collaboration.
  • Assigns and oversees work performed by direct staff, including providing performance feedback and guiding/training on work activities.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations or related field.
  • 5+ years of related Social Media management and a minimum of 2 years leading & developing a brands social media strategy to reach targeted audiences. Restaurant industry experience a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, the internet, technical usage, social trends, and participants engagement (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Twitch, Snapchat, Yelp, Google Locations, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the social media ecosystem relevant to the Company.
  • Solid understanding of digital content within communications and marketing disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively write and edit social media copy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, and the ability to influence across the organization at multiple levels. Detail-oriented; strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for agency meetings and photo shoots, as needed.
